In-situ resource utilization (ISRU) technologies for space missions based on plasma and electron beams: We concentrate on developing and optimizing plasma and electron beam based solutions for space exploration, such as generation of Oxygen in extraterestrial environments.
- Dust mitigation technologies
Dust mitigation for space missions and industrial applications such as semiconductors: with a flagship focus on using electron beams and plasma jets to clean dust in Lunar/Mars missions. This involves developing and optimizing electron beam systems to remove or neutralize dust particles that threaten spacecraft functionality, solar panels, and astronaut safety.
- Fusion Materials Testing
Electron Beam Testing of Materials to be used in radiation environments such as fusion reactors and space. It includes metalic alloys and solar cells tested at the electron beam accelerator in the laboratory.
- Data Science & Image Processing for Dusty Plasma
Building on our proficiency in dusty plasma, we are developing data science methodologies to analyze data from our own experiments of dusty plasma interactions with external fields in order to extract insights, improve system control, and develop AI tools such as object trajectory prediction and analysis of turbulent flows in plasma. We employ data science and image processing techniques, including high-speed imaging to model plasma behavior and develop real-time plasma diagnostics.
